China will add 75 million kilowatts of installed wind power capacity in the next five years

At the 2011 Tianjin International Wind Power Industry Matchmaking Conference, Shi Pengfei, deputy director of the China Renewable Energy Association Wind Energy Professional Committee, told reporters on the 10th that in the next five years, China's wind power industry will add 15 million kilowatts of new wind power annually.

According to Shi Pengfei, from 2005 onwards, the installed capacity of wind power in China has doubled for five consecutive years. In 2010, China’s annual installed capacity of wind power generation reached 18 million kilowatts, and its cumulative installed capacity reached 42 million kilowatts. The newly installed capacity and cumulative installed capacity of wind power “double occupancy” ranks first in the world.

Shi Pengfei said that China has already carried out the planning and construction of 8 million kilowatt-class wind power bases in areas with abundant wind energy resources such as Jiuquan in Gansu, Hami in Xinjiang, Hebei, Jilin, eastern Inner Mongolia, western Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu, and Shandong. Among them, the first phase of the first 10,000-kilowatt wind power base in Jiuquan, Gansu Province has been fully completed, and the remaining seven wind power bases under construction also have a certain scale.

“Although China is already a big country of wind power but it is not yet a strong wind power country, there is still a big gap compared with developed countries.” Shi Pengfei pointed out that in the future, wind power industry manufacturers in China should focus on improving product quality and independent research and development capabilities, and achieve market competition. Survival of the fittest; developers will have to change from the pursuit of installed capacity into on-grid electricity, and strive to generate the lowest cost of electricity during the entire operating period, rather than the lowest unit price.

Shi Pengfei suggested that with the further development of China’s wind power industry, the government’s subsidies to manufacturers can be stopped, and the government’s incentives for wind farm development regions to reduce the value of tax reforms should be compensated. Other incentive policies for the industry should continue to be active and positive. implement.
