Philips recently introduced the latest Hue bulbs for smart home users, this time bringing a white light bulb commonly used at home, called Philips Hue White Ambience - the previous Hue series is the main push color bulb. This time, the white light is characterized by the ability to adjust the color temperature, from a cold tone of 6500K to a warm tone of 2200K.

In this way, the Philips Hue bulb still has a grasp of the atmosphere of the room, such as concentration, relaxation and so on. The Ambience kit also adds new Routes features for companion applications, supports preset macros, and automatically adjusts lighting. For example, "Wake Up" wakes up, simulates the hue of rising sun, and the brightness of the light is progressive until it is set to wake up. The "Go to sleep" sleep is just the opposite, the light is slowly dimmed.
There is also a "Nightlight" nightlight, of course, for the night. Philips believes that younger parents are well suited for this model, which provides lower brightness without the blue light that disturbs the sleep cycle.

In fact, this product is not the first white light bulb that Philips has introduced. In 2014, Philips launched Hue Lux – a white light-only LED that is cheaper than a color bulb. Then there was the Wireless Dimming Kit last year, which also had a white light.
Hue White Ambience features the first two products and adds support for different color temperature adjustments. The set also includes the Wireless Dimming Kit wall switch and the second generation Hue Hub 2.0 that supports Apple HomeKit.
According to Philips, even if you don't have the above requirements, the adjustment of the color temperature of the light is very meaningful. The lighting and color of different living areas will have different needs. The kitchen, dining room and bedroom need to have the difference of light and warm colors. Hue White Ambience Kit is on the market this spring and the price has not been announced.
