East Harlem School is an independent, non-profit, full-year secondary school (grades 4-8). The East Harlem School is a low-income student who offers scholarships to students. This is the first time that an independent school has been built in the Harlem community for decades. The new building, with 27,800 square feet, was completed in the fall of 2008, allowing the school to be three sizes to meet the community's pressing educational needs. The school is committed to maintaining a close queue of students, each of which is treated as an individual and as a contributor community.
At night, the irregular geometric shape of the school's exterior wall is quite fashionable under the light map, which seems to be less harmonious with the tranquility and simplicity of the school itself. The unique ceilings in the indoor event area, as well as the round chandeliers, are lively yet warm.
