Chongqing to Build a National IoT Industry Demonstration Base

    Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has awarded the China National IoT Industrial Demonstration Base, the first demonstration base for the Internet of Things in China, Nan'an District, Chongqing. Wu Guohua, deputy director of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the awarding ceremony and made a speech.

    Kuang Guohua said that Chongqing National IoT Industrial Demonstration Base will carry the important task of promoting Chongqing's economic growth and industrial structure optimization and upgrading, and it must play a leading role for the development of the national Internet of Things industry. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is formulating guidelines for the development of the Internet of Things industry throughout the country, mainly including the leading demonstration role of the Internet of Things in strategic industries and the people's livelihood cause; nurturing Internet of Things companies through innovation in business models; and rationalizing the Internet of Things in the country. Industry and other content.

    According to Chongqing Mayor Huang Qifan, the goal of Chongqing’s development of the information industry is to become an important manufacturing base for laptops, tablet computers, 3G mobile phones, printers, monitors, routers, storage, servers and other electronic products. Chongqing Electronics will be the next few years. The sales value of the products will exceed RMB 1 trillion, and Chongqing’s goal of becoming the largest electronics manufacturing base in the Asia-Pacific region is becoming a reality. Second, the Chongqing Municipal Government and China Mobile have signed the “Innovation of Internet of Things (IoT)———Jointly Build Cloud Smart Chongqing” strategy. The cooperation agreement will establish Chongqing as the largest cloud computing data processing center in China.

    On the same day, 41 well-known domestic and foreign companies such as Huawei, ZTE, Haier Smart Appliances, and Gree Electric Appliances signed a settlement or cooperation agreement with the Nan'an District Government. The total contracted amount exceeded RMB 20 billion.

    According to the Chongqing Internet of Things industry development plan, the tea garden will serve as the main park for the “Internet of Things demonstration base”, and the northern New District, the High-tech Zone, and the Economic Development Zone will serve as software development and product application development areas. By 2015, Chongqing will introduce 100 large-scale enterprises and achieve an output value of over 70 billion yuan.
