LED bracket knowledge analysis

Depending on the application, there are different types of lamp bead, which are actually different LED types caused by different LED bracket types. Specific categories are: in-line brackets, patch brackets, high-power brackets, flat brackets and COB brackets. LED brackets use metal as a substrate because they require electrical and thermal conductivity. At the same time, some areas need to be insulated, which requires engineering plastics. Therefore, the general LED bracket is formed by metal stamping and re-injection. As a light-emitting diode, LED needs to be plated on the inner surface of the metal, and silver is used as a good light-reflecting material. Therefore, the general LED is an electroplated silver surface treatment.

The bracket materials used for LEDs of different powers are also different. The low power is generally PPA, the medium power is generally PCT, and some high power is currently made of EMC materials. All plastic materials have water absorption, so the bracket needs to be dehumidified during the production process of the LED lamp bead .

The treatment of the plating layer is the key point of the stent. The thickness and quality of the coating are related to the subsequent luminous flux and welding performance. In fact, the first condition for selecting a good LED is to choose a good bracket. At present, some parts of the market are formed by stamping, re-plating and injection molding of iron substrate, which is of relatively poor quality. The medium power is better to use copper, the plating layer needs to be controlled at about 80U'', but there are many manufacturers that only need to be electroplated to 40U''. The thin plated bracket should be controlled by welding, which is easy to cause virtual weld. Most of the high-power brackets now use ceramic substrates. If it is a ceramic material, it is necessary to understand the key points of ceramic composition and coating. The high-power COB lamp beads appearing on the market are usually formed by electroplating with copper plates. CITIZEN COB lamp bead holders are formed by pressing aluminum. Of course, CITIZEN's aluminum materials are selected to have certain conditions. The PCB material is the BT board material used, and the middle binder is critical.

The high-power integrated bracket uses copper to enhance thermal conductivity and reduce thermal resistance in the future.

There are also some in-line brackets that are not explained much, and there are not many lightings currently used.
