Topic: Industry Toshiba Matsushita Display (a joint venture between Toshiba and Matsushita) has announced a series of high-definition TFT LCD modules with long-life LED backlights.
TMD pointed out that the completed LCD module has five products in four sizes: 5.7 inches (resolution 320x240), 6.5 inches (640x480), 8.4 inches (800x600) and 10.4 inches (1,024x768).
The 5.7-inch LCD module is expected to be mass-produced in July 2008 at a price of 30,000 yen; the 6.5-inch mass production in May 2008 at a price of 30,000 yen; and the 8.4-inch two-products are planned for 2008. Mass production in September and September, the price is 50,000 yen; 10.4 inches is expected to be mass-produced in September 2008, the price is 50,000 yen.
The high-definition TFT liquid crystal module is mainly used for industrial use display devices such as medical machines and measuring machines. Since the backlight temperature of the LED is set to the most appropriate temperature, the average life of the LED can reach 70,000 hours, which is superior to the general long life.
