Yiguang Nichia Patent Warfare has also been used by the court to maintain the validity of the Japanese patent

Japanese LED manufacturer Nichia issued a press release stating that on October 22, 2013, Nichia received the judgment of the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court. The judgment relates to the 2nd Nichia YAG patent (ZL97196762.8, ZL03159595.2) declared by the Patent Reexamination Board of the State Intellectual Property Office of China.

Nichia said that Taiwan's LED factory Yiguang Electronics refused to accept the above decision and requested the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court to overturn the above decision. In the judgment, the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court rejected all the requests of Yiguang Company and maintained the effective decision of two Japanese YAG patents.
