In the evening of March 14, Ericsson announced today that from April 1, 2013, Jan Signell will serve as the president of Ericsson's Northeast Asia region and enter the Ericsson global leadership team. Yang Xikai will report to Mats H Olsson, Executive Chairman, Senior Vice President and Chairman of Ericsson Asia Pacific, and Chairman of Ericsson Northeast Asia, and will be fully responsible for Ericsson in Northeast Asia, including China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea Business operations.

Prior to joining Ericsson Northeast Asia in 2012 and serving as President of Ericsson Japan, Yang Xikai has held various senior management positions in Ericsson in Asia since 1989. He also served as the director of Ericsson Asia Pacific Innovation Center, senior consultant of Ericsson CEO, and has been the chairman of Ericsson Malaysia since 2010. Since 2005, Yang Xikai has been the president of Ericsson Southeast Asia and has overall responsibility for Ericsson ’s business operations in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, South Pacific and Bangladesh, and has led 4,500 employees in the region.
The current president of Ericsson Northeast Asia, Mats H Olsson (Mats H Olsson), will continue to serve as Ericsson ’s executive chairman and senior vice president of Asia Pacific after Yang Xikai officially takes office.
Until the new successor is appointed, Yang Xikai will continue to serve as President of Ericsson Japan.
