In the process of using the oxygen bomb calorimeter, the actual operation of the oxygen bomb plays an important role. If you do not pay attention to some problems, it will cause the ignition to be unsuccessful, resulting in failure of the whole experiment and even serious consequences. Therefore, pay special attention to the following aspects during the use of oxygen bombs.

Oxygen bomb daily maintenance and inspection:

The following inspections and maintenance should be carried out frequently after the end of the test, so that the instrument can always be in good working condition and can prolong the service life.

1. Oxygen bomb:

In addition to cleaning and drying the oxygen bomb after each test, the following points should also be noted and checked:

(1) The oxygen bomb can only be twisted by hand. When the hand feels resistance, it should stop. Do not use tools to harden it. After the test is completed every day, it should be cleaned once.

(2) The cap and seat should be rinsed and dried after use.

(3) Rinse the cup, scrub the thread, and check if there is mechanical damage on the cup. Be careful not to invert the cup.

(4) Check the seal for wear and damage during combustion. If the seal is not tight and there is air leakage, it should be replaced.

(5) Check whether the insulation mat and the insulation sleeve are good, whether there is any damage, and the insulation performance can be checked regularly.

(6) Regularly carry out a 20.0 MPa water pressure test on the oxygen bomb. After each water pressure test, the oxygen bomb should not be used for more than one year (or no more than 5,000 tests).

2. Calorimeter: After the test is finished, the water in the cylinder should be drained to the outer cylinder, wiped dry and kept clean.

3. Test water: It is best to use pure water, and it should be replaced regularly to ensure the reliability and success rate of the test.
