    Regarding the future strategic focus of MediaTek China, Zhang Weili's answer is very firm and clear: "First, MediaTek will strengthen cooperation and interaction with operators, accelerate the time to market of products to meet the needs of operators; second, MediaTek will strengthen its cooperation with government leaders Department communication, early participation in standard discussions, etc .; Third, MediaTek will strengthen communication with the media and listen to the media's views and suggestions on MediaTek. "

    Among the above three points, strengthening cooperation with operators is undoubtedly the top priority. As China's 4G market is about to enter commercialization, China Mobile has also proposed a "Double Hundred" plan, which is to build TD-LTE networks in more than 100 cities and purchase more than 1 million TD-LTE terminals, which undoubtedly gives the industry chain All parties have brought historic opportunities.

    In Zhang Weili's view, China Mobile is a leader in promoting the development of TD-LTE. If we can launch products that meet the needs of operators, we can take the initiative in the market. At present, MediaTek has cooperated with the Telecom Research Institute to test and optimize network and terminal chip compatibility at the TD-LTE Experimental Network Test Center in Huairou, Beijing.

    According to Zhang Weili, "MediaTek plans to launch TD-LTE's 5-mode chip MT6290 at the end of 2013. This product uses a 28nm process and supports TD-LTE / LTE FDD / TD-SCDMA / WCDMA / GSM. Since it supports 5-mode 10-band The complexity and difficulty of TD-LTE mobile phone terminals are relatively high, especially in terms of power consumption and volume, and improvements are still needed. MediaTek is also communicating with some terminal manufacturers to solve these problems. "
