The integrated circuit IC2 is an audio oscillator. Its frequency is initially controlled by the resistance between pin 2 and pin 7. The RV4-11 controls the oscillator frequency and can be played by touching a pointer (by limiting resistor R5 and pin 2) to a preset state.
