DJI released Apple TV application drone aerial video can be shared to TV

Electronic enthusiasts at 8 o'clock: According to foreign media reports, Drone market leader DJI launched a new Apple TV app called "DJI Smart TV" this week, promising to help its users send high-quality aerial video to thousands of people Living room.

DJI announced through the company's official website that Apple TV users can browse aerial video and 4K videos captured by DJI drones through the DJI Smart TV application. This application also supports TVs based on Samsung TIzen platform.

The video samples posted on the DJI website seem to have been filmed and produced by the company itself. The content includes professional videos from the WRC conference and official product promotion videos. The new application has a section called "DJI Innovator", which contains videos taken by professional photography users and amateur users, as well as videos about product overviews and device usage tutorials.

Paul Pan, senior product manager at DJI, said: "We have made our drones fly and can shoot aerial video. Now with the DJI Smart TV app, creators have more methods and The world shares their work. This is really an opportunity for people to be inspired and attracted, so that they can travel to places they never thought of and see the world in a whole new way. "

For DJI, streaming media content is a new initiative. So far, this company has only focused on the development of drone hardware and software. DJI is facing fierce competition from established sports camera manufacturers such as GoPro, which announced its Karma drone last year.

After GoPro issued a recall order for defective batteries in November last year, it re-launched the Karma drone in February this year, but the initial sales progress has been slow.

GoPro already has a large number of fans on streaming video platforms such as YouTube, and also has exclusive applications for game consoles and smart TVs. DJI will further erode the GoPro market with its new applications.

The DJI Smart TV app is now available on the tvOS App Store and is a free app.
