    Summary:

    This document is an engineering report for the charger/adapter that describes the performance characteristics of a 5.5 V, 500 mA charger/adapter. The charger/adapter uses the LinkSwitch - an integrated IC that combines a 700 V high voltage MOSFET, PWM controller, startup, thermal shutdown and fault protection circuitry. The controller provides duty cycle and current limit control for constant voltage/constant current output characteristics without secondary induction. LinkSwitch devices are widely used in a variety of personal electronic devices (such as mobile phones, cordless phones, PDAs, digital cameras, MP3 players, electric shavers, etc.) and battery chargers, household appliances, and televisions. Machine standby and various auxiliary power supplies.

    This document includes charger/adapter specifications, circuit diagrams, bill of materials, transformer specification files, printed circuit board layout, and performance data.
