Listed company Liad announced yesterday that it plans to acquire NaturalPoint, Inc. (OptiTrack) of the United States through its subsidiary Pingda. With a total purchase of US$125 million, NaturalPoint will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pingda after the acquisition. Of course, NaturalPoint still needs to report and review foreign regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Foreign Investment Committee and the Antitrust Division.
NaturalPoint's OptiTrack is a full-body motion capture system. Currently available motion capture solutions on the market use OptiTrack optical motion capture components, such as Nolita's Project Alice. The OptiTrack camera can be used with a variety of motion capture software tools for body motion applications such as animation production, positioning navigation, virtual reality, and human motion analysis.

In addition to its foreign investment, Liad announced in February this year that it will establish Beijing Black Crystal Technology Co., Ltd. with Qingdao Black Crystal Technology to develop virtual reality theme parks and other businesses.
