Panasonic uses a vibration-resistant conductive polymer mixed aluminum electrolytic capacitor to achieve mass production

    Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. has developed a vibration-resistant, patch-type conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitor specifically designed for vehicle ECU (Electronic Control Unit) power supply circuits in HEVs (Hybrid Electric Vehicles), EVs (Electric Vehicles), and conventional gasoline vehicles. This innovative component was launched into mass production in December 2017, marking a significant advancement in automotive electronics. As the demand for improved fuel efficiency and stricter environmental regulations continues to grow, the number of ECUs installed in modern vehicles is increasing. Along with the rise of mechatronics, there is a growing need for smaller, more durable components that can withstand harsh conditions. This has led to higher demands for capacitors used in ECU power supply circuits—capacitors that not only stabilize voltage but also filter out electrical noise. To meet these challenges, Matsushita Electric introduced the first conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a diameter of 6.3mm, offering exceptional vibration resistance of 30G, significantly surpassing its previous model, which had a vibration resistance of only 10G.
