    According to the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, this is the sixth time that Sharp has signed an interactive licensing agreement covering approximately 900 patents from Sharp and approximately 700 patents from Toyota. Sharp also signed an interactive licensing agreement with Nichia in November 2008 to enhance Sharp's development of white LEDs and LCD TV backlights through Japanese technology.

    LEDinside said that Sharp and Toyota Synthetic each have their own technological advantages and patents.
