The TDK Group introduces the new HVC200A bipolar high-voltage DC contactor, which can be used to interrupt high DC voltages and DC currents. It operates up to 450VDC and has a freewheeling current of up to 200A. The arc generated by the disconnection of the DC load provides a fast and safe interruption through the arc extinguishing gas inside the enclosed switch chamber. Among them, HVC200A series high-voltage DC contactors are available in B88269X1000C and B88269X1010C models with dimensions of 89mm×44mm×93.5mm (length×width×height), which are suitable for 12V or 24V drive versions respectively. Both models consume 6W at rated voltage. In addition, the new contactors are equipped with circuit options for detecting the state of the switch.
The high-voltage DC contactor with high freewheeling capability is widely used in electric vehicles and other fields, and can quickly disconnect the battery from the driver and the DC charging station. Other application areas include photovoltaic systems and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). For 12V and 24V driver applications, the company is actively developing new contactors with a freewheeling capability of 100A to 500A and a maximum allowable operating voltage of 900V. The main application areas of the product include: battery isolation switch and onboard charging circuit for electric vehicles, photovoltaic power station, uninterruptible power supply.
