On the afternoon of December 22, Xiamen Metropolitan Electronics Industry Association's general meeting and energy-saving lighting electrical branch branch meeting was held in Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau. The reporter learned from the meeting that at present, more than 70% of energy-saving lamps in Fujian Province are concentrated in Xiamen production; and 20 of every 100 energy-saving lamps in the world are manufactured in Xiamen. As one of the three major production bases for domestic energy-saving lamps, Xiamen currently has more than 60 energy-saving lamps and supporting production enterprises, including Tongshida, Lisheng Electric Light Source, Lidaxin, Donglin Electronics, Hailai Lighting, etc. The export volume of electrical appliances reached 5 billion yuan, growing at an annual rate of around 20%.
According to reports, compared with the domestic advanced areas, the energy-saving lighting industry in Xiamen has an average product quality higher than the national average, but it lacks its own brand. In this context, the Energy Saving Lighting Appliances Branch was formally established.
