BEIJING, Dec. 16 The decision of the State Council of China to amend the "National Festival and Memorial Day Holidays" has been passed by the 198th executive meeting of the State Council on December 7, and will take effect on January 1, 2008.
The following is the full text of the decision of the State Council on the revision of the "National Festival and Memorial Day Holidays" published by the Chinese Government Network:
Decision of the State Council on Amending the "National Festival and Memorial Day Holidays" The State Council decided to make the following amendments to the "National Festival and Memorial Day Holidays": Amend the second article to read: "All citizens holiday holidays:
(1) New Year, 1 day holiday (January 1);
(2) Spring Festival, 3 days holiday (Lunar New Year's Eve, first day of the first month, second day);
(3) Ching Ming Festival, 1 day holiday (the day of the lunar calendar);
(4) Labor Day, 1 day holiday (May 1st);
(5) Dragon Boat Festival, one day holiday (the day of the Lunar Dragon Boat Festival);
(6) Mid-Autumn Festival, 1 day holiday (the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival);
(7) National Day, 3 days holiday (October 1, 2, 3). â€
In addition, the text of individual articles was modified. This decision shall come into force on January 1, 2008.
The "National Festival and Memorial Day Holidays" will be revised accordingly and re-announced in accordance with this decision.

Article 1 These Measures are formulated for the purpose of unifying the National Year and Memorial Day holidays.
Article 2 Holidays for all citizens to take holidays:

(2) Spring Festival, 3 days holiday (Lunar New Year's Eve, first day of the first month, second day);
(3) Ching Ming Festival, 1 day holiday (the day of the lunar calendar);
(4) Labor Day, 1 day holiday (May 1st);

(1) Women's Day (March 8), women are on holiday for half a day;
(2) Youth Day (May 4th), young people over 14 years of age have a half-day holiday;
