I recently took over a Chuangjia 32hme8000 R30 rework machine, which had three major issues before disassembly. The master of the three-in-one board had already done some repairs, but the board looked completely ruined. As shown below:
The main problem was that the insurance was blown, the chip was removed, and many surrounding components were missing. I tried to find information online about the power chip FAN6755, but due to the lack of parts on the rework machine, after more than 30 minutes of trying, I gave up. I’m not doing this for maintenance; it’s just too complicated. I have my own way of thinking.
The board design uses a 12V and 35V backlight power supply. A few days ago, I received a TCL screen breaker and decided to test the external power board. Fortunately, the board was in good condition, so I started the repair process.
I connected P-NO and 3.3/5V strong start, then connected 12V or 24V with ground and backlight flash protection. The backlight IC used is AP3064. The 35V and 12V power supply were normal, and the backlight control voltage was 3.6V, while the brightness signal was 3.3V. I wonder if the added 35V boost load was enough to trigger protection, or maybe the previous technician touched something they shouldn’t have?
Here's the pin diagram of the AP3064:
After checking everything, I had no choice but to use a universal constant current board for testing.
