**Foreword**
During the Double 11 shopping festival, I was scrolling through reviews of sports bracelets and Bluetooth headsets, hoping to find a good deal. My Mi Band 2 needed replacing, and I kept checking reviews, hoping to win a set through some promotions. Unfortunately, I ended up in a huge crowd and missed out on the chance. So, I decided to buy a bracelet from JD.com. But I wasn’t sure about the headset promotion there, and to my surprise, I actually won a set. It turned out to be a simple but satisfying purchase.
Now that it’s time to review, I feel like my recent audio products have hit a bit of a plateau—no longer buying expensive headphones for a while.
**Package**

The packaging is a white paper box with the headphones featured on the front. It's worth noting that "Honor" used to be a sub-brand under Huawei. However, in recent years, Honor seems to be moving away from Huawei, even changing its branding. Some products now look very similar to Huawei’s, which might lead to market confusion.
It's possible that in the future, Honor and Huawei could end up being like VIVO and OPPO today—competing brands under different ownership.

The back of the box contains product details and usage instructions. This is a great touch, as it keeps the packaging minimal yet informative.
**Unboxing**

Inside the box, the design is well-organized. The headphones and storage case are placed in their own slots, keeping everything secure. I received the red version, which comes with a red cable.
**Accessories**

The storage bag is decently made, with an engraved "Honor" logo on the front.

The package includes a charging cable, two sets of ear tips, and one medium-sized pair already installed. There's also a large and small ear tip included in the storage case.
**Headphone Details**

The driver unit measures 11mm and uses a dynamic coil design. The in-ear design is shallow, offering comfort and basic sound isolation. The two units are magnetically connected, making them easy to store and hang.

The control panel and battery are designed separately, each with a similar size and balanced placement. This ensures a good weight distribution when worn.

The control panel features volume buttons and a call answer button. A long press allows song skipping during playback.

The ear pads are made of silicone with a beveled edge and shark fin structures for better stability during movement.
**Sound Experience**

Wearing the headphones, they stay securely in place even during vigorous movement.
As a sports Bluetooth headset priced around 300 yuan, the sound quality isn’t as refined as higher-end models. That said, I’ll evaluate it based on its price point.
In terms of soundstage, it’s not overly open, but the structure is complete and not completely closed off. The resolution is decent for the price, though it lacks fine detail. Complex tracks can’t be fully separated into individual instruments.
The bass performance is average, with mid-range being the strongest, followed by low frequencies. High frequencies suffer from some distortion and lack clarity. The bass doesn't have much depth or stability.
Overall, the tone is warm, making it more suitable for rhythmic music. However, I think the sound quality doesn’t quite justify the 299 yuan price tag. A 199 yuan price would make it more reasonable.
**Summary**
The Honor AM61 is a solid sports Bluetooth headset, featuring IPX5 waterproof and sweat-resistant design, ideal for long workouts. Each unit weighs only 5 grams, making it very lightweight. Battery life is impressive—over 8 hours of continuous playback and up to 10 days of standby. The shark fin design ensures a secure fit during intense activities. It also supports Bluetooth 4.1, offering stable connectivity and decent range.
However, the sound quality falls short compared to other models at a similar price, such as the Meizu EP52. While the design looks good, the tuning still needs improvement. More investment in audio engineering could significantly enhance the listening experience.
In conclusion, the AM61 is a decent choice for casual users, but if you're looking for better sound, you might want to consider alternatives. The 299 yuan price is a bit high, but 199 yuan feels more justified.
